Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about ordering keys & remotes.
Do keys arrive cut and programmed?
No. Keys and remotes ship uncut and unprogrammed unless a listing specifically says otherwise. A licensed automotive locksmith or dealer will cut the blade and program the key/remote to your vehicle. This is standard for automotive keys and lets the same part fit many vehicles.
What's the difference between OEM and aftermarket?
OEM parts are made by (or for) the original vehicle manufacturer. Aftermarket parts are made by third parties to the same specifications, usually at a lower price. Both work when programmed correctly — the listing title notes which one you're buying (e.g. "OEM", "OEM Recase", or "Aftermarket").
How do I find the right key for my vehicle?
Use the Vehicle Key Finder on our homepage — pick your make and year and we'll show every key that fits. You can also match by FCC ID or part number (printed on the back of your original key/remote) using the search bar. Every product page lists these specs.
What is a transponder chip / FCC ID / part number?
The transponder chip is the immobilizer chip inside the key that the car reads to allow start. The FCC ID is a code printed on the remote used to identify the exact part. The part number (PN) is the manufacturer's reference number. Matching any of these ensures you get a compatible key.
Do smart keys and remotes need programming?
Yes — smart keys, remotes, flip keys and transponder keys must be programmed to your specific vehicle before they'll start it or operate the locks. A locksmith, dealer, or the right programming tool handles this. Mechanical (non-chip) keys only need to be cut.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes. Many products are sold in 10-packs and bundles, and we're set up for shops that buy in volume. Browse the bundles or contact us for wholesale accounts.
How fast do you ship?
Most in-stock orders ship quickly from our Arizona facility. Bulk bundle orders may take a few business days to pick and pack. See Shipping & Returns for details.
What is your return policy?
Unused, uninstalled items in original condition can be returned — see Shipping & Returns. Note that electronic keys/remotes that have been programmed or cut generally cannot be returned.
